Project Objectives

Showcase Exhibitions Across Locations

Associazione Genesi sought an app that could effectively showcase the different types of exhibitions presented at each location. Since the Genesi Collection was not always fully on display, and the various stops often included pieces from the host museum’s collection, they needed a digital solution to provide clarity and highlight the uniqueness of each exhibition.

Stay Connected with Visitors

A key requirement was the ability to stay connected with visitors throughout the project's journey. Associazione Genesi wanted the app to serve as a communication tool, keeping users informed about events organized at each stage of the initiative and fostering a sense of ongoing engagement with the audience.

Interactive, Thematic Content

They envisioned an interactive tool that could go beyond individual artworks and focus on entire sections of the exhibitions. Each section of the project carried a specific theme, accompanied by a dedicated podcast produced in collaboration with FAI - Ponte tra le culture. The app needed to relate this rich contextual content to visitors, enhancing their understanding and engagement with the overarching narratives.

Offline Accessibility

Another crucial requirement was the ability to access the app offline. Since some of the exhibition venues lacked reliable internet connectivity, Associazione Genesi needed a solution that would ensure visitors could explore content seamlessly, even without an active internet connection. This feature was essential to guarantee a consistent user experience across all locations.

The experience

To address Associazione Genesi's needs, we developed a comprehensive app that seamlessly showcased the unique aspects of each exhibition, highlighting both the Genesi Collection and pieces from host museum collections. The app enabled users to explore rich, interactive content tied not only to individual artworks but also to thematic sections, each accompanied by dedicated podcasts produced with FAI - Ponte tra le culture. For those less tech-savvy, we included a classic audioguide experience, ensuring accessibility for all visitors. Additionally, we implemented image recognition technology, offering multiple ways to access content about the artworks.

The app also dedicated significant space to describing the artists and their work, providing deeper insight into their contributions. To enhance navigation, we integrated interactive maps, allowing visitors to locate all artworks across venues—an essential feature for stages where exhibitions spanned multiple locations. Push notifications were added to keep users informed about activities and events in real-time, ensuring they never missed important updates. Finally, with robust offline functionality, visitors could enjoy the app's features even in venues without internet connectivity, guaranteeing a seamless and inclusive experience.

Project Outcomes

Enhanced Visitor Engagement

The app significantly improved visitor engagement by offering multiple ways to access content, including image recognition, thematic podcasts, interactive maps, and a classic audioguide. This ensured an enriched experience for all audiences, from tech-savvy users to those preferring traditional guides

Seamless Offline Access

With offline functionality, visitors could explore the app's features and content without needing an internet connection, ensuring a consistent and uninterrupted experience across all exhibition venues, regardless of connectivity limitations.

Real-time Event Updates

Push notifications kept visitors informed about activities and events at each stage of the project. This ensured high participation rates and strengthened the connection between the audience and Associazione Genesi.

Improved Navigation Across Venues

Interactive maps made it easy for visitors to locate artworks, especially in stages of the project where exhibitions were spread across multiple venues. This feature simplified navigation and maximized the visitor experience.

Increased Awareness of Artists and Artworks

By dedicating substantial space to detailed artist profiles and descriptions of their works, the app provided visitors with a deeper understanding of the artists and their creative process, enhancing their appreciation of the Genesi Collection.

Trusted Partner for all editions

Impressed by the quality and functionality of our solution, Associazione Genesi chose to partner with us for all editions of the project. This ongoing collaboration reflects their trust in our ability to deliver innovative and reliable tools to support their mission.
